The joy of young people in Nigeria is to partake in the youthful event of NYSC to participate in the one year compulsory national service after their 4 years undergraduate programme and 5 years programme in other courses.

The question prospective and returning students ask about NYSC remains a concern for many. For the purpose of clarity, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) runs an open and distance learning system; as such, by the constitution, graduates of NOUN are issued Exclusion Letter by NYSC which is equal to the NYSC certificate given to those who went to Conventional University.
