NOUN ADMISSION PROCESS

Are you a new or returning student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)? This detailed guide provides clear, step-by-step instructions for all key processes—from admission and registration to exam registration and result checking. Whether you're at NOUN Abeokuta or any other study center, this resource will help you navigate the NOUN portal with ease.

📌 Section 1: Application for Admission

A. Check Your Eligibility

Visit the NOUN portal.

Click on 'Admission'.

Select 'Am I Qualified?'

Choose your Faculty → Department → Programme → Level.

Click 'Next' to see if you meet the requirements.

B. Apply for Admission

Click 'Admission' → 'Apply for Admission'.

Confirm you’ve checked your eligibility (click 'Yes').

Fill in all required details.

Click 'Next' → 'Details Confirmed'.

Proceed to payment via Remita.

Follow on-screen prompts and enter OTP carefully.

Do not refresh or close the window until redirected back to NOUN.

C. Complete/Check Payment (If Incomplete)

Click 'Apply for Admission'.

Re-enter your details.

Confirm and proceed to payment as above.

D. Login to Application Form

Go to 'Home' → 'Admission' → 'Return to Application Form'.

Enter your Application Form Number and Password.

Click 'Login'.

E. Fill/Edit Application Form

Complete all sections in order (no skipping).

Upload a clear passport photo (ears and neck visible).

To delete credentials:

Click 'Preview Form' → 'Academic History' → 'Edit' → 'Delete'.

F. Submit Application Form

Ensure all sections (1–6) are complete.

Click 'Submit' at the bottom of the preview page.

Read and follow on-screen instructions.

📚 Section 2: Registration

G. Screening

Visit your chosen study center (e.g., NOUN Abeokuta) for physical screening.

H. Check Admission Status

Log in to your application portal (as in D).

Your status will be displayed on the dashboard.

I. Sign Up (First-Time Matric Number Use)

Click 'Fresh Student'.

Enter your Matric Number and create a password.

Set a security question/answer.

Click 'Submit'.

J. Sign In (Registered Students)

Click 'Registered Student'.

Enter your Matric Number and Password.

Click 'Login'.

K. Register for New Session/Semester

After signing in, click 'Register for the Semester'.

Confirm fee breakdown → Click 'Yes'.

Complete payment via Remita.

Select courses → Click 'Submit'.

Print your Course Registration Slip.

L. Register Courses

Sign in → Close pop-ups.

Click 'Register Courses'.

Select courses → Click 'Submit'.

M. Register Courses for Exam

Sign in → Click 'Register Courses for Exam'.

Select exam courses → Click 'Submit'.

N. Drop Courses

Sign in → Click 'See Course Registration Slip'.

Click 'Drop Course' → Confirm.

O. Drop Exam Courses

Sign in → Click 'See Exam Registration Slip'.

Click 'Drop Exam' → Confirm.

P. Check Payment Status

Sign in → Click 'Check Payment Status'.

Enter RRR number → Click 'Check'.

View status and receipt if payment is confirmed.

Q. Make Payment

Sign in → Click 'Make Payment'.

Confirm fee details → Proceed to Remita.

Complete payment with card/Bank/USSD.

R. Check Result

Sign in → Click 'My Progress'.

S. Print Student ID Card

Sign in → Click 'Registry' → 'Print Identity Card'.

T. Request for Change (Study Centre, Level, Semester)

Sign in → Click 'Registry' → 'Request for...'.
