NOUN Abeokuta Academic Updates: 2026 Deadlines & Convocation Info
Attention all students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abeokuta Study Centre!
To ensure a smooth and successful semester, please pay close attention to the following critical academic updates and upcoming deadlines for April 2026.
1. Course and Examination Registration
The registration window for the current academic session is currently open.
Tentative Closing Date: April 4th, 2026.
Action Required: We strongly advise all students to complete their course and exam registrations immediately to avoid portal congestion or last-minute complications.
2. 2026 Matriculation Ceremony (Freshers)
Congratulations to our new intake! The official Matriculation Ceremony for the 2026 session is scheduled for:
Dates: April 7th and 8th, 2026.
Matriculation Gowns: Academic gowns are now available for collection at the Study Centre. Please ensure you pick yours up in time for the ceremony.
3. 15th Convocation Ceremony & Final Clearance
For our graduands, the finish line is in sight.
Convocation Dates: April 17th and 18th, 2026.
Final Clearance: Clearance for all graduands is currently in progress. Ensure your records are up to date to participate in the 15th Convocation Ceremony.
4. GST 302: Business Creation and Growth
Registration for GST 302 is ongoing. Once you have successfully registered for the course on the portal, you must generate your Business Plan Identification Number (BPin).

5. Science Practical Exercises
Practical sessions are currently ongoing for all Science students. To manage scheduling, all concerned students must register their preferred session time.

6. Tutor-Marked Assignments (TMA)
Stay on top of your continuous assessment! TMA 1, 2, and 3 are now active and accessible via the student portal. Ensure you submit your assignments before the system closes.
7. Examination Clearance for Freshers & Returnees
Official exam clearance is currently in progress for all students.
Pro-Tip: Do not wait until the day of your first paper. Visit the Study Centre now to finalize your clearance and ensure your name is on the final exam list.
